Could use your prayers
Kale is still fighting hard to stay on this vent, but his body isn't helping him out enough right now. He has had pretty bad blood gasses all day now. At 8pm after another bad gas they switched him to 60 breaths per minute which is the highest they can go. He has another gas at midnight tonight, and if that is not where it needs to be then they are going to switch him back to the high frequency vent. Still no word on his cultures for infection. At this point we ask for your prayers that over the next 3 hours his body does a better job getting rid of the CO2 in his blood and his gas comes back better. Thanks to all, we appreciate it.

ReplyDeleteWe've been praying all evening for Kale's lungs to get strong enough to stay on the vent. Also praying for strength for both of you.
ReplyDeleteWe love you so much Kale, and hope that each day you continue to get stronger.

Dear Derc and Steph,
ReplyDeleteI will be praying for all of you. When I need strength I keep repeating my favorite Bible verse which is: "All things are possible through Christ who gives me strength" Pray that Christ's strength will rise up inside Kale and his lungs will get stronger each and every minute. We care so much about all of you and pray tomorrow and each day will be better for Kale. Take care, Barb S.
