Naptime
So peaceful!
Kale loves his pacifier and his star baby!Kale has been on a roll lately! He has been doing well on his vapotherm, and is still on 2 lpm. His blood gases have been pretty consistent and maybe in the next few days they will move him down to 1 lpm!
He has been doing great with his feeds as well, still at 40 mls and he is definitely gaining weight along with that. He is up to 4 lbs. 14 oz! He's going to hit the 5 lb. mark soon!!! Hard to believe how far he's come....we're so thankful!
He has been doing pretty good with nuzzling too, hopefully in the next few days we'll get the go ahead to start nursing.
Some other exciting news today - Derc changed his first poopy diaper all on his own, start to finish!!! I didn't believe him, so had to have Jodi confirm, and she said he did great!
We're off to watch my brother-in-law Justin race tomorrow, we're excited!

Kale - Grandma Rainbow and Aunt Sarah are coming to visit you tomorrow - so rest up tonight so you have lots of energy for us!

Can't believe how big and healthy he is looking! I look forward to these updates everyday. Just wanted to let you know that little Kale is the last thing I pray about every night before I go to bed! Glad to see so many great updates!!
ReplyDeleteKale is AWESOME! i love the pictures, he is so precious and getting so big :) our Isabelle was 4 lbs 14 oz when she came home from the hospital - it sounds like Kale is well on his way to coming home as well! we continue to keep everyone in our prayers and are so excited for Kale's progress!
